Experimental Firing

Thursdays 6pm-830pm

5 Weeks

November 14th - December 16th

Over 5 weeks and 6 in-depth sessions, you'll explore a variety of atmospheric firing techniques, including Raku, salt, soda, and pitfire. This hands-on workshop will guide you through crafting your own pieces and participating in each firing process. Learn to design and craft stoneware clay that withstand high temperatures. Master atmospheric glazes, including a deep dive into Raku glazes and the effects of combustibles like feathers, hair, and leaves.

Skill Level: This workshop is designed for intermediate students who can throw, handbuild, glaze, and meet weekly work quotas to fill the kilns. Think you’ve got the spark? Check out the meeting dates below and get ready to fire it up with us!

Special Treat: A final session potluck to celebrate your incredible journey!
